When you see the ring of summits surrounding the Saas valley you can only gaze in wonder. The many four-thousand-metre peaks tower towards the sky and awaken our sense of adventure.

Here are a few highlights from our programme:
The Allalin, 4027 m
Ascent: 2 hrs., descent: 1 hr.
The easiest and most popular 4000 m-peak in the region. It can be undertaken safely with a guide by almost anyone. The Allalinhorn can also be undertaken by families. You ride up to the Mittelallalin at 3500 m above sea-level in the morning; from here there are only about another 500 vertical metres to tackle. When visibility is good, you can make out the towering summits of the Mont-Blanc, Matterhorn and Piz Bernina. An ideal climb for beginners.
The Weissmies, 4023 m
Ascent: 3 ½ hrs., descent: 1 hr.
Another popular and easy 4000 m-peak. You take the cable-car to Hohsaas at 3100 m. From here you climb over steep glaciers to the summit. After a climb of about 900 m you can see a fantastic view stretching from the Monte-Rosa to the Piz Bernina!
The Alphubel, 4206 m
Ascent: 4 hrs., descent: 2 ½ hrs.
You ride up to the Mittelallalin at 3500 m above sea-level in the morning. From here you climb to the Feejoch at 3826 m and have an easy climb via the Feekopf at 3888 m to the Alphubeljoch at 3782 m. From here you reach the summit directly via the snow ridge and ice spur.
You climb down via the glacier directly to Längfluh.
Climbing the Alphubel involves a variety of terrains and requires very good physical condition. |
