In Switzerland you pay a visitors' tax, and you may wonder what happens to the money. The visitors' tax is used by the tourist associations for the improvement of the infrastructure (for example maintenance of hiking trails, children's playground, park benches, signpost, visitors' animation programmes. etc.) The visitors' tax is included on your bill at the end of your stay.
